Rolling Loud organizers have announced the festival will host next year’s annual California edition at Inglewood’s revamped Hollywood Park.

The announcement made in front of SoFi Stadium on Tuesday (August 30) did not include any details on the lineup or ticket information but did note that the festival will take place March 3-5, 2023.

“Everywhere we go, we’re in the heart of Hip Hop for that city,” Tariq Cherif, Rolling Loud’s co-founder said during a press conference. “Miami Gardens was where 2 Live Crew kicked off. In New York, we’re in Queens, and countless rappers are from there. Going to Inglewood, it’s the same scenario.”

He continued: “We’re putting forward an Inglewood first policy in our hiring. So when we’re hiring staff for the event we’re looking to hire people from Inglewood first and foremost. With that being said, Rolling Loud delivers a major economic impact, and we’re very excited to bring that here.

“Every city we go we do over $100 million in local economic impact. Bringing a lot of jobs and a lot pf spending money to the communities we come to, so we hope to do that for the long future here in Inglewood.”

Cherif and his partner Matt Zingler added in a press release: “Rolling Loud is deeply honored to be the first-ever music festival to take place at the incredible Hollywood Park. We’re pumped to return to L.A. and make our debut in Inglewood, such an important neighborhood in rap history.”

The statement continued: “Rolling Loud California 2023 will be an event worthy of its historic location, celebrating the undeniable influence of the West Coast on hip-hop and featuring some of the hottest rappers in the game. Stay tuned for our biggest and best California festival yet!”

The last California Rolling Loud took place in San Bernadino in 2021 and sported a lineup that included J. Cole, Future and Kid Cudi as headliners. The last time Rolling Loud was in Los Angeles was back in 2019.

“Rolling Loud is a global brand, and they’re coming to Inglewood with a track record of engaging the community,” said Jason Gannon, managing director of SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park. “Certainly we were thinking about what would be important for locals. We wanted to program it in a way that would be appealing to the community.”
