Kanye West’sYeezy Gap line came to stores for the first time in July when the garments filled New York City’s Times Square store.
One thing customers immediately noticed was that the clothes were displayed in large eco-friendly bags rather than distributed and organized on hangers. According to Twitter user Owen Lang, a sales rep at Gap relayed that the puzzling clothing display decision was made at Kanye’s request.
“This is how they are selling Yeezy GAP,” they wrote.”The sales associate said Ye got mad when he saw they had it on hangers and this is how he wanted it. They won’t help you find ur size too, you just have to just dig through everything.”
The bizarre clothing selection process has caused a divide among fans who are left confused, but they shouldn’t be as Kanye West has never been someone to follow the traditional line of thinking in any of his artistic endeavors.

There was a time in November 2019 when Kanye had NYC’s 5th Ave. Burberry store clear their entire store of all clothes so he could have the proper venue to premiere his “Follow God” video from Jesus Is King.
For those with nearby Gap stores that don’t have the Yeezy Gap collection’s inventory, a full-size run of garments is currently available at the Yeezy Gap online shop. An array of hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, tank tops, long sleeve shirts and hats engineered by Balenciaga range in price from $80 to $300.
