Hit-Boy has announced that he will be curating the soundtrack to the forthcoming sports video game Madden NFL 23.

The soundtrack is available (almost) entirely on Spotify as of Tuesday (August 16), but 15 exclusive songs will only be able to be heard only in the video game, which includes featured appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Ty Dolla $ign, Erica Banks, Cordae and others.

Hit-Boy will also contribute 33 exclusive beats for the in-game cinematics.

“Madden been one of my great loves since day one,” Hit-Boy said in the latest video game trailer. “Like music, I just couldn’t escape my obsession for the game. The way it brought to life the sights and sounds and feelings of a Sunday. The unforgettable music the game gave us.”

He continued, “Even in the studio where I created Grammy-winning records, the game was never too far away. Now my worlds collide as I curate the sounds of Madden 23.”

Hit-Boy has seemingly been everywhere recently. He of course joined forces with Nas for the pair’s Grammy-nominated efforts King’s Disease I and II and just linked up with Beyoncé for herRenaissance track “Thique.” He also served as executive producer for The Game for his 30-track Drillmatic: Heart Vs. Mindalbum, which dropped on Friday (August 12).

“DRILLMATIC the REAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR out everywhere midnight Friday, August 12th !!!!” Game wrote on Instagram on Thursday (August 11). “I promise I’m going 30 for 30 no skips !!!! As Hit-Boy would say… ‘issa 30 clip’ !!!!”

However, Hit-Boy has already set his sights on King’s Disease III, which he told HipHopDX back in March is in the works.

“It’s something else, man. I’m not even going put nothing on it,” Hit-Boy said. “Just stay with us. I can’t call it [the release date]. Nas has got a lot of working parts. He a businessman. He do what he do. I just contribute as much as I can and let his team and him dictate where we going. But it’s coming.”
