“Daylight” is set to appear on Vory’s debut album Lost Souls, which is scheduled to be released on Friday (June 3). The song previously appeared on early tracklists for Kanye West’s Donda album and was played during one of the listening parties in Las Vegas.
Pusha T took to his Instagram Stories on Monday (May 30) to give high praise to “Daylight” and Vory’s upcoming album.
“@vory You know #Daylight might still be my favorite song in the world,” he wrote. “can’t wait til the world here’s your album. Congrats.”
Vory featured on “No Child Left Behind” and “God Breathed” from Kanye West’s Donda album in August 2021, while also having an entire song of his own on Donda 2 called “Lord Lift Me Up.” During an interview with XXL in November, Vory talked about his relationship with Kanye and the making of “No Child Left Behind.”

“We understand each other,” Vory said. “Our vibe is crazy, though. Even his childhood friends are like, ‘You would think y’all have known each other for years.’ With ‘No Child Left Behind,’ [Kanye] had an idea that was basically, ‘Never abandon your child.’ That’s what he was trying to run with, and so that was a whole different song. And then I was like, ‘Nah bro, say something [that] means the same thing, but it’s a different saying. More of a quote.’”
He also talked about Kanye West advising him to skip the gimmicks in favor of building a strong catalog that speaks for itself.
“I was having a talk with Kanye and he was like, ‘Bro, it’s more powerful that way. You’re gaining a real fan base that way,’” he revealed.
