While Lil Baby and Gunna have declared summer 2022 will belong to them, Quavo took to Instagram on Thursday (April 14) to make the case for a Migos takeover and previewed a new track that he implied will be released this summer.
In the quick snippet, Quavo and Takeoff are seen casually hanging with their entourage as they preview their verses on the buoyant new track.
“Summer Coming Soon I Need Another Vert,” Quavo wrote in the caption.
Notably absent from the listening session was Offset, who is currently embroiled in an awkward legal snafu with Los Angeles car rental company Platinum Motorsports. In a recent lawsuit, the rental company accused the Migos rapper of renting a 2020 Bentley Bentayga but never returning it, demanding he pay $950,027.35 for the vehicle.

Offset defaulted on the lawsuit and was required by the courts to pay the lofty sum, but on Tuesday (April 12) the ATL lyricist filed a sworn statement in the case saying he never drove or possessed the car. He claimed that Oriel Williams, the mother of one of his children, was the one who rented the vehicle. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for May.
As for Quavo and Takeoff, their lives haven’t been nearly as dramatic. Quavo has been spending a lot of time with Brooklyn drill leader Fivio Foreign, linking up with him for “Through The Fire” and “Magic City” off his debut album B.I.B.L.E., which dropped on April 8. Takeoff, meanwhile, has been keeping it lowkey recently, but did lend his money-tossing talents to Rich The Kid in January, showing him how to properly make it rain on strippers.
The last time the Atlanta trio linked up in an official capacity was for Jim Jones’ single “We Set The Trends,” and before that it was for their fourth studio album Culture III last summer. The project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and sold roughly 130,500 total album-equivalent units in its first week. The album featured appearances from Drake, Cardi B, Polo G, Future, Justin Bieber, Juice WRLD, Pop Smoke and NBA YoungBoy.
