After reportedly skipping out on the official Donda 2 afterparty, Kanye West made up for it by popping up at Floyd Mayweather’s 45th birthday party at Miami’s Gold Rush Cabaret on Wednesday night (February 23).
Yeezy hopped on Instagram Live while singing karaoke along to Donell Jones’ 2000 R&B smash “Where I Wanna Be” as he enjoyed himself on the night out. In addition to Kanye, former NFL star and Donda Sports president Antonio Brown was also in attendance to help Floyd ring in year 45, and the boxing legend even hit a routine combination for the camera.
Donell Jones hasn’t reacted to Kanye’s karaoke rendition on social media yet, but he did make an appearance as a special guest during Musiq Soulchild and Anthony Hamilton’s Verzuz battle in February. He performed “U Know What’s Up” in the midst of Hamilton’s set.
While Kanye West was getting ready to leave Mayweather’s party in a black SUV, emerging Florida rapper Apollo Lofton kicked a freestyle for Ye outside of the venue. That name might sound familiar since he’s the same artist who rhymed for Drake while he was exiting a Miami-area store last September.

“Waited for @kanyewest outside and spit a freestyle for him,” Lofton wrote. “Might not be the coolest thing to some but this is the reality of an upcoming rapper .. hustling round the clock and losing sleep to make your dreams a reality. I’m taking every chance and opportunity that gets presented to me cause god willin Ima make something outta myself !! I have no other option.”
Kanye West is making himself at home in Miami following the Donda 2 listening experience earlier this week. While the album still isn’t on streaming services, West did upload four tracks for official release on the Stem Player website on Wednesday.
