Swizz Beatz is currently working on a compilation album entitled Swizz Beatz Presents GETTO Stories Vol.1 that will feature contributions from DMX, Jay-Z, Mary J Blige, Papa Roach, Shaggy, OutKast, Snoop Dogg, Quincy Jones, and Will Smith, among others.
Master beat makers Dr. Dre and Timbaland may produce a track on the LP together, with Swizz handling rhyme duties. However, Swizz’ biggest coup may be his collaboration with the self-proclaimed King of Pop, Michael Jackson. “It’s basically a favor-for-a-favor type thing,” Swizz told MTV News, adding that he produced three songs that may or may not make the final cut on the legendary entertainer’s long-awaited new album. And true to form to the title of Swizz’ album, Mike may be changing his eccentric dress code for more street-oriented styles.
“He’s singing the hook and doing ad-libs,” Swizz added. “I wanted him to be like he was from the ghetto. We’re making him get braids. I bought him some [Timberland boots]. He was like, ‘These are so heavy, how do you guys walk in them?'”
While no release dates have been given yet, Swizz hopes to drop a single from his compilation by this summer.
