Malaysia’s Yonnyboii pens his love story in his latest single “NIKI.”

“NIKI” is the newly-wed singer, rapper and producer’s first single of the year, a romantic tribute named after his wife. “I start to believe in love / I needed a reason and I love you in seasons,” he sings on the breezy R&B track peppered with lively synths. The track draws vivid imagery of an empowering love, composed by Yonnyboii himself.

“The song is actually about my love for my wife Nina. I wrote it just a few days before our engagement,  imagining  how  beautiful our wedding would be as we sat on the dais,” the artist says in a press statement, adding: “When I wrote it, I couldn’t believe that we were getting engaged and that our wedding was so close. I had already planned for the song to be our reception number. Well now, I want to share it with the world.”
