One thing to count on each week is HipHopDX running through the best new music each and every Friday. Today’s edition of New Music Friday rounds up the best singles for the week ending on Friday (October 15).
Lil Durk has ensured his presence on Dr. Dre’s Beats By Dre campaign with a new sliding anthem in “Pissing Me Off.” Meanwhile, Maxo Kream dropped the impassioned and weaving “GREENER KNOTS,” and R&B songstress Summer Walker linked with City Girls’ JT for “Ex For A Reason.”
This week also brought new singles from Lil Reese and Young Dolph, Key Glock, LIFEOFTHOM and more, so keep reading for DX‘s complete coverage below.
Summer Walker f. JT – “Still Over It”
Summer Walker tapped City Girls’ JT for “Ex For A Reason,” a Hip Hop and R&B crossover from two of the genres’ leading ladies. Elsewhere, JT is a constant fixture of Hip Hop, from her extravagant relationship with Lil Uzi Vert to her explosive City Girl anthems. “Still Over It” combines the best from Walker and JT, as the two come together to acknowledge what they are owed, and laugh at the unworthy men from their past.
