Lil Wayne turned 39 on Monday (September 27) and celebrated by partying with several members of his Young Money family, including Drake and label president Mack Maine. But Nicki Minaj, who undoubtedly helped Young Money soar to unimaginable success, was missing in action.

After Mack Maine posted an Instagram photo of the crew at the spirited birthday soiree, Nicki hopped in the comment section with a sarcastic “I had so much fun” jab. Maine replied, “@nickiminaj Lawwwdddd don’t do it like that Nicketo! This shit was so last minute. We could run it back deaux. It wasn’t complete without you.”

Drake toasted to Lil Wayne during their elaborate dinner at Swan Miami and professed his unwavering admiration for Lil Tunechi.

“We don’t get a chance to gather as a family much anymore,” Drake said while raising a glass. “I still, to this day, get nervous speaking about this man because, at the end of the day, as much of a brother and a mentor as he is to me, he’s still my idol. And still somebody who just puts me in a place where, when I start thinking about him, I start thinking about my family.”
