Lil Durk is saluting his friend and frequent collaborator Drake after he made history on Monday (September 13), taking nine spots in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 with tracks off his sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy.
Durkio took to his Instagram Story on Monday to shout out his Toronto brethren for the huge accomplishment, calling him the greatest of all time. Lil Durk also has a Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 entry thanks to Drake via the CLB standout “In the Bible.”
“THE REAL GOAT NOT NO CAP GOAT A REAL ONE @CHAMPAGNEPAPI,” Lil Durk wrote in his Story alongside an image of the Billboard Hot 100 showing Drake’s stranglehold on the chart.
Besides jumping on Drake’s “In The Bible” alongside Giveon, Lil Durk also joined the 6 God on his hit single “Laugh Now Cry Later” last year. That collaboration marked the first time Drake and Durkio would tore up a track. In August, Durk told Complex his verse would have been longer had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Oh, when I sang on the verse, I left. I thought it was done,” Durk said. “This was around the time the studio was really tripping about COVID. But when I had left the studio, it was supposed to get mixed the next day. So that being a shorter version was on my end.”
Lil Durk is enjoying a Billboard milestone, too. The Chicago rap star has the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this year with 35. If his feature on Certified Lover Boy was not enough, Lil Durk also appeared on “Jonah” with Houston singer Vory from Kanye West’s Donda.
