Fivio Foreign wasn’t wasting any time once he was released from jail on July 13. The Brooklyn rapper told DJ Drewski during an Instagram Live session he wants to hit Hot 97’s Summer Jam stage on August 22, but he won’t just get a slot handed to him. So Fivio took matters into his own hands and recently hit up Funk Flex on his second day home to drop off a freestyle to prove he’s not playing around.
Fivio opened the three-minute freestyle calling for the release of homies and admitting that he tried to run from police on the night of his arrest on April 21 but was eventually caught. Fans were then treated to an impressive freestyle where Fivio rapped about his growing popularity and the opps who always seem to have an eye on him.
According to Fivio, Summer Jam is the opportune time for him to get back on track with his music and fans and he’s ging to do what he can to make it there.

“I need to be on Summer Jam,” Fivio told Drewski during their Instagram Live. “I need the main stage, and I need to be lit I need to turn up. This is what I need to do. You can’t tell the Big Drip he can’t go to Summer Jam.”
With his eyes set on taking the stage at Hot 97’s Summer Jam and dropping a freestyle to hold fans over, Fivio seems to be locked in with no more distractions. The Brooklyn rapper is focused on putting the finishing touches to his long-awaited debut album, and if the freestyle is any indication of where his mind is, fans are in store for something.
Before the altercation with Fort Lee police in New Jersey on April 21, Fivio was busy putting in his hours at the studio. Fans were buzzing after footage of Fivio linking up with Rowdy Rebel and 24KGoldn in the studio made its rounds.
