Tory Lanez has been on a tireless mission to prove his innocence in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting incident since releasing hisDAYSTAR album last month. On Tuesday (October 20), the embattled rapper took it a step further and addressed the allegations on Instagram Live.

Much like he did on the album, Lanez refuted Megan’s claims and insisted he didn’t do it. In fact, he claimed he was still her friend. It didn’t take long for Megan to catch wind of the social media event and issue a reaction.

Shortly after Lanez hit record, Megan slid through with a tweet that read simply, “This N-gga genuinely crazy.”

During the IG Live session, Lanez insinuated Megan lied about the shooting.

“It’s crazy because the whole thing about it is like when this whole debacle or whatever you call it came about, the whole time it’s like she knows what happened, I know what happened and we know that what you’re saying – what the alleged things and the alleged accusations of my name is – are not true,” he said. “It’s falsified information. It’s false information and it’s not accurate information.

“I don’t ever want to come off like I’m here to bash this girl or I’m here to talk down about this girl or ever be at a place where I’m disrespecting her because to me as a person, she’s still my friend. Even if she doesn’t look at me like that, I look at her like she’s still my friend.”

Megan was shot on July 12 following an evening out in the Hollywood Hills with Lanez and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner. Lanez was arrested for felony possession of a concealed weapon, while Megan was taken to a local hospital with injuries to her feet. Although initially quiet about who pulled the trigger, she eventually identified Lanez as the person responsible for shooting her in August.

Despite Lanez’s cries of innocence, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office charged him with a felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle on October 8. A judge ordered Lanez to stay away from Megan in the wake of the charges.
