Cam’ron has come under fire for reposting a transphobic meme about Tory Lanez allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Less than a week after Hot Girl Meg vented about the traumatizing event becoming a source of online mockery, Killa Cam shared a joke suggesting Megan is transgender.
“Tory Lanez saw that dick and started shootn,” the meme reads. “IDC what no one say.”
Cam’ron captioned the post, “Ayoooo… Da net wins again.”
Megan was shot in the foot during an incident involving Lanez in Los Angeles on July 12. Lanez was originally arrested for possession of a concealed weapon and released on a $35,000 bond but later was accused of being the shooter.
After Megan revealed she was shot, the allegations against Lanez publicly surfaced. The Los Angeles Police Department opened assault with a deadly weapon investigation into the matter as a result.
In the aftermath of the shooting, Megan and Lanez have become sources of humor for social media. Celebrities such as 50 Cent and Draya Michele have turned it into a laughing matter, much to the chagrin of Megan.
“Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own,” she wrote via Twitter on July 17. “It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized.”
