It doesn’t look like Foxy Brown will be able to get herself out of this sticky situation. Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, will spend a year behind bars stemming from a violation of her probation. She was involved in a fight with two manicurists at a NYC salon back in 2004 which brought upon the three year probation and the subsequent sentencing at today’s probation hearing.
This is definitely not the first time Brown has had run ins with the law. She also was indicted on charges that she smacked a neighbor with a cell phone.
“I’m willing to do whatever I need to do to change,”Brown told Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson before being sentenced. “I realize that’s not where I want to be. It’s humbled me in ways I never imagined.”
But being humbled was not enough to avoid some time in jail.
“I’m not going to give you any more chances,” the judge told Brown. “I hope you turn your life around and never again have to stand in a court of law.”

Brown did attempt to strike a deal that would have given her nine months in jail in exchange for a misdemeanor guilty plea, but the judge rejected the deal stating that Brown knew she would get a year for the violation.
