Serious about hearing that new Mobb Deep or Wu-Tang before anyone else? Then you better have a cell phone.

New York-based mobile entertainment company Zingy.com will have the exclusive release of certain songs off Mobb Deep’s Infamy and Wu’s Iron Flag before the albums hit stores. Only they won’t be CD’s, MP3’s or vinyl, they’ll be ring tones. “Cell phones are so widely used that ring tones are one of the best ways to promote our music,” said Steve Rifkind, chairman of Loud Records.

Infamy is due to hit stores December 11, but the songs “Hey Luv” and “Burn” are now available as ring tones at Zingy.com. The Wu’s songs “(Uzi) Pinky Ring,” “Y’all Been Warned,” and “Rules” will be available at the site before Iron Flag hits stores on December 18.
