Snoop Dogg has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump for at least the past four years. The D-O-Double-G is apparently so disgusted by Trump’s presence at the White House, he’s decided to vote in the November 2020 presidential election — his first time ever.
The veteran West Coast MC made the commitment during a Real 92.3 LA interview with Big Boy on Thursday (June 4) after the topic of voting came up.
“I ain’t never voted a day in my life, but this year I think Imma get out and vote because I can’t stand to see this punk in office one more year,” Snoop said. “For many years they had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn’t vote cause you had a criminal record. I didn’t know that. My record’s been expunged, so now I can vote.”
The country has erupted in riots and protests since the May 25 police killing of 46-year-old black man George Floyd. Trump has faced criticism for his handling of the situation.
When the protests initially started outside of the White House, Secret Service whisked him away to the White House bunker for safety. Earlier this week, he used police force to clear anti-racism demonstrators from Lafayette Park in Washington D.C. so he could walk to St. John’s Episcopal Church and take a photo of himself awkwardly holding a Bible.
Consequently, several protesters and the American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit Thursday challenging the federal use of force to disperse a peaceful protest in ahead of the photo-op. According to a press release, Trump, Attorney General William Barr, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, and numerous other federal officials are all named in the suit.

These protests aren’t about George Floyd- they’re about Trump. That’s why you see the majority of politicians, major corporations, and Hollywood stars applauding the ongoing violence and chaos in the streets. They want to rile up as much anti-Trump sentiment as possible before November. But studies show that these types of protests push moderate voters further away from fringe radical causes. Bottom line, fk Antifa, and BLM is great in theory but a joke in practice. No one has seen BLM show up in Chicago where black men murder each other in record numbers. This isn’t about black lives, it’s about “fk white people.” 10 unarmed black men were killed by cops all of last year. Meanwhile, hundreds were killed in Chicago by other black men. Donald Trump lost the popular vote last election. The people do not decide who sits in the White House. The voting is done for the record and so we can FEEL like we had a say. But in reality, the Electoral College decides who the president is. Until we as a whole realize that voting is really a waste of time honestly.
