Nelly is one guy. The St (Saint, not street) Lunatics are his crew, and they just finished work on an album. After dropping Hiroshima-sized bombs on the hip-hop industry in 2G, Nelly is ready to present his group to the world. Nelly and others are tearing open the hip-hop world and unleashing the mid-west sound at large. Bone thugs and Do or Die made a major impact, but Nelly has been nominated for two Grammys. (Not that hip-hop respect or notoriety rest on those awards, it just goes to show how much Nelly blew up).
The St Lunatics are Nelly, Ali, Kyjuan, Murphy Lee and City Spud. Their album is due out on Universal Records on March 27, but a lead single has not been chosen yet.
