Nas has finished the recording of his fifth solo album, “Stillmatic” and has cheekily used the same format as Jay-Z’s platinum album, “The Blueprint”.
The album opens up with the answer back to Jigga’s “Takeover”, “Ether”. The first single “Got Yourself A Gun” is the next track; similar to the way Jigga laid out his album. The album has a number of lesser known, but respected producers. Sadly, there’s no place for The Alchemist, Pete Rock or Mobb Deep’s Havoc on this album. Nas has also kept the guest list to a minimum, hooking up with only just one rap artist, that being long-time friend, AZ.
“Stillmatic” drops December 18th and wait for the follow-up single to be “Rule”, which uses a Pink Floyd sample.
