Lizzo is on fire. Soon after her single “Truth Hurts” was declared the No. 1 song on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, the rising superstar celebrated the momentous occasion on Twitter.

“WE DID IT LIZZBIANS,” she wrote.

Thanks to “Truth Hurts,” Lizzo is now the sixth female rapper earn a chart-topping Hot 100 hit, placing her alongside Cardi B, Lauryn Hill, Iggy Azalea, Lil Kim and Shawanna.

“HONORED,” she wrote.

“Truth Hurts” comes from Lizzo’s debut album Cuz I Love You, which dropped in April. HipHopDX, which gave the album a 4.2, pointed out “she’s mastered the art of self-empowerment and finally embraced her pipes of steel.”

Propelled by the infectious “Juice” single, the project hit the Billboard 200 chart at No. 6 and currently sits in the No. 5 spot 19 weeks later.

Lizzo performed “Truth Hurts” at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards last Monday (August 26).
