Lil Nas X Updated “7” Cover Art To Reflect Rainbow Flag

Lil Nas X’s vision for the 7 EP cover art was reportedly very specific and intended to reveal he was gay way before June 30 when he announced it on Twitter. TMZ reports designer Lorenzo Sozzi, who crafted the cover with the 20-year-old Atlanta native, said he wanted the art to show him “leaving a dystopian world for a futuristic world.”

He insisted one of the buildings included the rainbow colors, which he thought provided enough of a clue. The EP dropped on June 15, but he didn’t make his big reveal until roughly two weeks later. He tweeted he “deadass” thought he “made it obvious” with the cover.

Nas X’s sexuality has been a heavy topic of conversation this week, drawing both support and criticism. Boosie Badazz caught heat for clowning Nas X’s breakout hit “Old Town Road” while 50 Cent dragged Nas X into his beef with Young Buck.

Subsequently, the burgeoning star took his feelings to Instagram and dared anyone to say anything “home of phobic” again.

In his initial coming out tweet, he directed fans to listen to “c7osure (You Like),” the second to last song on 7. A verse in the song points to someone struggling with a secret, which he evidently finally unleashed.

7 debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart earlier this week.

    1. Ok I’m sick of this queen already. Wow. A gay cowboy. That wasn’t done to death already. He’s just a chocolate Broke Back Mountain groupie.

    2. This site is such trash. You let the most racist shit stay up but anything resembling criticism of this fruit cake you delete?

    3. Be afraid losers. There is a garbage rapper that ADMITS to be gay. You should comment on it here because you’re totally not thinking about dudes having butt sex. Queers. Thinking about gay shit, and talking about gay shit makes you a flaming homo. You should be worried about pussy, not this trash moron.

    4. WHERE THE REAL RAPPERS AT??!! DAVE EAST THE ONLY ONE TO SPEAK UP ON THIS FOOL!!! LETTIN` CLOWNS IN THA GAME!?!?

STORMZY APOLIGIZED TO THE LGBT AND HE CLAIMS TO RESMEMBLE UK GRIME! DISGRACEFUL… HE A F4G N A SELLOUT…

FUCK ALL THIS BATTY BOI BIZNESS< SERIOUSLY< ITS MESSING WIV THE KIDS MINDS!!!

      1. Dave East is an overwhelmingly overrated MC to be honest. So is Joey BadAss, ASAP Rocky,Troy Ave, Uncle Murda, A Boogie Wit A Hoodie, French Montana, and Cassanova. But I will admit that they’re all still better than this Year’s XXL Freshman Class tho.

        1. joey badass all american badass album is a masterpiece, its truly one of the best lyrical albums i heard in the last 5 years. the portrait he paints is pac-like with a true message and true meaning in his music…and he young!!! Dave East is dope sun!!! Papoose underrated to hell…

    5. Coming out the closet right before/after an album release is one way to make sure the project does well. Didn’t Frank Ocean do the same thing? I think Tyler too.

    6. I’d respect this punk if he would’ve came out 1st, but nah, needed to go Diamond first to build up courage.
