Some would run to the nearest club or start popping bottles upon hearing their album debuted atop the Billboard 200 but not NAV.

The XO artist was out bowling with 88GLAM member Derek Wise when his day-to-day manager made the fateful call saying, “it looks like we’re going to get No. 1.”

Hearing the good news apparently spurred NAV’s bowling game telling Billboard, “I started bowling just strikes nonstop.” The thrills of bowling quickly ran its course, “I couldn’t focus anymore… as soon as I heard we were going No. 1, I went straight to the studio and did five songs.”

NAV puzzled fans after going on a two-month “retirement” at the top of the year only to return upset that TMZ wouldn’t take pictures of him.
