When the world changed on September 11, one of the first repercussions felt in the hip-hop world was felt by the Bay area group The Coup. The cover art for their fourth album Party Music showed group member Boots detonating a charge that sent the World Trade Center crumbling down. The album was pulled immediately.

Of course, the group had nothing to do with the attacks. The message meant to be conveyed by the art was one of anti-capitalism- Boots is an outspoken communist- but the cover seemed no longer appropriate for obvious reasons.

Party Music has been re-released with a cover now depicting a flaming cocktail. The album has a very political message and follows in the ilk of Public Enemy and BDP. Dead Prez also make a guest appearance on the album.
