Although XXXTENTACION’s life was cut tragically short, he left behind what his mother Cleopatra Bernard described as his “final gift.” According to a press release, his baby boy Gekyume Onfroy was born on Saturday (January 26).
“Cleopatra Bernard and Jenesis Sanchez are thrilled to announce the arrival of Gekyume Onfroy,” the statement read. “We’re happy to confirm that Baby and Mother are healthy. Gekyume’s name is derived from a word X created prior to his passing, which means ‘different state’ or ‘next’ universe of thought.
“XXXTENTACION specifically chose this name for his first born son. His family is honored to fulfill his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love.”

According to an Instagram video posted on Sanchez’s page, Gekyume — or Yume as they call him — didn’t come quickly.
“texted Cleo,” the caption read. “Everyone seemed a bit tired but excited for the arrival of Jahseh’s & Jenesis son but Gekyume is taking his time. We all waiting.”
Bernard revealed Sanchez was pregnant with the slain rapper’s child shortly after his June 2018 death. Following Gekyume’s arrival, Sanchez shared several Instagram posts celebrating his birth.
