As regular NewsDX readers know, Snoop Dogg’s Puff, Puff, Pass tour bus was stopped by Ohio state troopers outside Cleveland last month and the officers claimed to have found 200 grams of weed on board.
Snoop’s lawyer entered a not guilty plea to that charge on Tuesday, saying that the weed in question was not actually found by police, and that in fact there was none on board. Two other people on the bus were charged with the same marijuana possession charge and are being represented by the same lawyer. The case goes to trial on December 11. If convicted, the defendants face a maximum fine of $250 US each.
With penalties like that, why do they even bother?
