California faced extreme devastation this month when three wildfires — the Woolsey, Camp and Hill fires — erupted across the state. The Camp fire — mostly in Northern California — is now the deadliest fire in the state’s history with 56 casualties.
The Woolsey fire has also wreaked havoc on Northern California, especially in Malibu and Calabasas where many celebrities own homes. To protect his $60 million dollar estate with wife Kim Kardashian, Kanye West hired private firefighters to fend off the flames.
Now, ‘Ye says he’s taking it a step further. On Friday (November 16), he tweeted he was “Building a fireproof community.”
Kanye didn’t elaborate on what that kind of community would look like, but during the effort to save his sprawling mansion, he managed to save some of his neighbors’ homes as well.

According to TMZ, the private firefighters tirelessly dug ditches to create a fire break. Consequently, their neighbors’ property was also spared.
Kardashian posted video of the fires as she was attempting to land in Los Angeles last Thursday night (November 8). [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
