Kanye West Confirms “Yandhi” Album Release Date

Kanye West (once again) set the internet ablaze when he teased an album cover reminiscent of 2013’s Yeezus. But, what many assumed was a sequel to the album is actually a new project titled Yandhi.

On Tuesday (September 18), ‘Ye revealed title and release date in a Twitter post. According to the photo, Yandhi is expect to arrive on September 29, the same day he is scheduled as the musical guest on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

Yandhi follows a busy summer for the G.O.O.D. Music mastermind. During the months of May and June, he dropped multiple projects back-to-back, including Nas’ Nasir, Pusha T’s DAYTONA, Kids See Ghost with Kid Cudi and his own solo album, ye.

On Monday (September 17), Kanye also confirmed his collaborative project with Chance The Rapper, Good Ass Job, is on its way as well.

Social media is abuzz with speculation that Kanye West is releasing a sequel to his 2013 album Yeezus. ‘Ye sparked the chatter by posting a blank CD reminiscent of the Yeezus cover art on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Kanye’s tease follows the announcement he’ll musical guest for the upcoming season premiere of Saturday Night Live. ‘Ye is scheduled to appear on the show’s September 29 episode and has centered album releases around SNL performances in the past, as seen during the rollout for 2016’s The Life Of Pablo.

Despite the lack of any confirmation, fans are already getting excited about a potential Yeezus 2. If the assumptions are correct, it would be Kanye’s second sequel in the works.

Earlier this month, Kanye more explicitly teased a follow-up to 2011’s Watch The Throne LP on Twitter. That tweet was met with some skepticism though due to the rift between ‘Ye and JAY-Z.

Check out some of the reactions to Kanye’s latest ambiguous tweet below.

    1. I’m probably not as excited about this as I would’ve been even just a year ago. Ye’ was easily his worst album and I hope if this is Yeezus 2 it’s good, but I honestly don’t expect it to be. Plus the idea of another month of Kanye saying and doing random bs under the guise of starting a dialogue to drum up press for this album already gives me a headache.

      1. Yuhommad or Yalcolm Y, Yartin Luther King.. I could go for days.. Yarriet Tubman, Yojourner Truth, Yedrick Douglas, Y. Y. Y. Du Bois, Yurgood Marshall.. and for the MAGA supporters Yonald Trump.. no offense to anyone

      1. Daytona was fire. Kids See Ghost was amazing. Nasir had some classic tracks. Ye was disappointing, but I know people who love it.

        1. I havent listened to Daytona since the second time I listened through it. It has no replay value. Ye album sounded like almost finished bangers that he forgot to add kicks and claps to complete them. Nas carried on his name alone- kanye beats had no bearing on it. Its just facts tho- I love Kanye and wish he would give us some “Dreams”, “Guess whos back” level beats but he is in a different place. The Kanyes and Dr Dres have been replaced by Fruity Loops producers that try to finish beats an hour after starting them

          1. Daytona and KSG are both Album of the Year contenders. And KTSE was one of the better R&B joints this year as well. Idk how people pretend Kanye still is putting out bangers. Not to mention “I Love It” is a Kanye creation that hit Top 10 on Billboard and was a Pornhub song

    2. Peep this tho- my daughters teacher is a married white woman with a fat fuckin ass… her husband owns a business in the town we live in. She is like 26, has the sexiest face, perfect tits and ass that wont quit. I used to jack off to her weekly until she started eyeing me then one day the kids had a rehearsal and i sat with their class. She was sitting down the row from me and got up to go past me and put her ass in my face. So i pushed up on her, got to DMing and fast forward I just beat guts in a hotel on her lunch. She is a freak and never had black dick before. She let me explode in that white pussy cause she has an IUD in. She begged me to cum in her and I did, so much. As a black man there is NOTHING BETTER then nutting in white women.

    3. Seemed like ever since Kanye’s mom died, his music started to suck. 808s was the last great, game changing album he put out. Dark Twisted Fantasy has some good songs but was definitely overrated. After that, nothing but trash and weak albums. I remember listening to Yeezus, thinking “WTF am I listening to?” Then of course, there was the whole Ye and the fake drug dealer Pusha T trying to end my man crush Drizzy’s career, only to diminish their own careers and make Drake even more popular. All of the GOOD Music albums sucked and, unless Kanye asks the 6ix God to forgive his sins, then he’ll continue putting out garbage albums.

      1. This is a lot of hyperbole but I agree on some points. I think MBDTF was a classic also but, after that, things fell hard and fast for sure. This last round of albums were garbage including daytona. I bought them all and havent listened to any of them since the week they came out. If not for Nas lyrics I would say the same but ye’s beats all sound unfinished. “Yikes” is great example- couldve been a banger but its missing some claps or snares to pull it together. Something to be said about how many artists lose a little something off the drugs (Wayne, Ye, Eminem)

    4. I can’t lie… I’m digging Kanyes music lately. Part of it is that hiphop I’m general is stuffed with crap artists, Eminem isn’t making music I enjoy anymore, Kendrick barely drops, and when he does it’s full of purposely pitched vocals and pop sounding tracks…. So Ye has been enjoyable lately… His music is just fun and effortless seeming. But gotta say, I’m looking forward to a new Schoolboy Q album… Not looking forward to the Kanye produced Chance album. As I think after acid rap, chance became an entirely different artist

    5. Nowadays, everybody wanna talk
Like they got somethin’ to say
But nothin’ comes out when they move their lips
      Just a bunch of gibberish

    6. KANYE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WEAK RAPPER, EVEN HIS OLD SHIT IN MY HUMBLE OPINION. I WILL ALWAYS RESPECT HIS PRODUCTION GAME.
