Dr. Dre has won his battle against the state of Michigan after it was decided that the state had violated Dre’s First Amendment rights.

Last year summer, during Dre’s “Up In Smoke Tour”, Detroit officials banned the viewing of two of Dre’s video at the Joe Louis Arena on July 6th. Dre managed to obtain a court order to prevent the same thing happening on the following date, which was set in Auburn Hills. However, Auburn Hills police officers still charged Dre over showing the video, but later dropped the charges realizing that Dre had been given permission to show the video after all. Dre was not happy though and filed a lawsuit over wrongful arrest. Now, it seems that Dre and Auburn Hills officials have reached a settlement; Dre received an apology and over $50,000 compensation over legal fees in exchange for dropping the $25Million lawsuit.

Even though a lot of hassle occurred between the two, Dre is still willing to return to Auburn Hills in the near future.
