It appears Floyd Mayweather is a fan of controversial rap-troll Tekashi 6ix9ine. While both attended The $50K Charity Challenge celebrity basketball game at UCLA on Tuesday (July 17), the undefeated boxer was seen approaching the rainbow color-haired rapper — and it was captured on video.
“I’m a big fan,” Mayweather can be heard saying in footage captured by TMZ. 6ix9ine shared similar sentiments, telling the boxing star he’d connect with him after the game.
The interaction was one of the week’s higher notes for 6ix9ine. Over the weekend, he was released from Rikers Island and made his way to Texas to surrender to authorities — though he quickly got out after posting $5,000 bail. The charges stem from allegedly choking a teen at a Houston mall.

An arraignment is scheduled for this Friday (July 20). If convicted, 6ix9ine could spend up to a year behind bars. That potential sentence would be in addition to the maximum of one year he’s facing for an alleged altercation with a cop.
Despite facing potential incarceration, 6ix9ine is playing up the situation to promote his music on Instagram.
“I’m giving you guys one last music video this Sunday before I go to jail forever,” he wrote as a caption to his mugshot.
