HipHopDX Premiere: Olympic athlete Will Claye has put his competitions aside to focus solely on his music career. After delivering “Westside” with Don P in 2016, he’s resurfaced with the Karmony playlist, which consists of two new visuals — “Celebrate Life” and “Father.”

While maintaining his successful athletic career, Claye the rapper was first introduced to the world on YG’s 2012 hit, “IDGAF.”

In April 2017, Claye spoke to HipHopDX about his yet-to-be-released debut album, Look What You Created, and how his relationship with YG opened up the doors.

“I feel like I’ve always made dope music,” Claye said. “It was just a matter of me being around the right people. Me and my boy Mitch, the first major track we did was with YG, that ‘I Don’t Give A Fuck’ track in like 2012. That was my first track I ever put out and that was one of YG’s biggest tracks [up to that point].

“Once all that stuff start happening, I knew I was headed down the right path.”
