New York’s Beastie Boys have announced that they will add a second benefit concert to be held October 29 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. The show is in addition to one announced the day before, which will feature the Beasties, the B-52s, and DJ Stretch Armstrong on October 28.

The newly announced show will see Mos Def, Afrikka Bambataa, The Roots, and the John Spencer Blues Explosion. All proceeds from both shows will go to two organizations which are assisting victims of the September 11 attacks: The New York Women`s Foundation and the New York Association for New

Americans.

The concerts, called New Yorkers Against Violence, will be the first Beastie shows since 1999, and will include their sometime DJ Mixmaster Mike.
