Minaj’s absence has even led talk show host Wendy Williams to print faux missing persons posters, while one fan recently launched a website to track how many days it’s been since Minaj last posted online.

However, sources close to Minaj tell TMZ the Young Money rapper has ditched social media to focus her efforts on her highly anticipated next album.

Minaj feels more creative without the constant distractions of Twitter and Instagram, TMZ’s sources say, especially as she’s working around the clock with the likes of Lil Wayne, Mack Maine, and other Young Money artists to finish up her album.

Elsewhere, fans thought they may have caught a new glimpse of Minaj in a recent Instagram post by DJ Clue, but it turns out the picture was an old one.
