Safaree Samuels offered hefty praise to television producer Mona Scott-Young on Instagram yesterday (August 1), crediting the Love & Hip Hop helmswoman for giving him “a fair shot” at one of the lowest points in his life.
The Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star didn’t name names, but appeared to reference his turbulent breakup with Nicki Minaj in his comment. The couple was reportedly together for well over a decade.
While doting on Young, Safaree blessed her with the ultimate comment, comparing the Love & Hip Hop creator to billionaire Oprah Winfrey.
“When I had the world against me without even knowing who I was you were the only person who gave me a fair shot.. didn’t judge didn’t assume didn’t care who I was with or not,” Samuels wrote. “Had to be 1 of the darkest times in my life.. imagine helping build an empire walking away from it with nothing and having everyone shun you just because you’re not the bigger star. IDGAF what any1 has to say @monascottyoung you are out here saving lives and entertaining millions across the world.. how could you hate on a black woman for doing that!! This is our oprah wether you wanna admit it or not!!! Take it how you want.. it’s facts!!! *sidenote* I’m booked and busy.. love you!! #stuntgang”
