With the simple words, “It’s coming,” Ice Cube confirmed via Twitter another solo album from the West Coast OG is indeed on the way. Last week, a single, “Only One Me,” surfaced online and was a blistering reminder of vintage Cube from the early Death Certificate days. In fact, it appears on the forthcoming anniversary edition of the 1991 classic record, which is being released through his new deal with Interscope Records.

Cube performed at the Project Pabst music festival in Denver, Colorado last month alongside fellow West Coast luminary WC, whose late brother DJ Crazy Toones was a member of WC and the Maad Circle, and later signed to Cube’s Lench Mob Records. To those in attendance, it was clear Cube was firing on all cylinders, performing well-known tracks like “Friday,” N.W.A’s “Fuck The Police” and “Today Was A Good Day” with an unrelenting energy.

The illustrious actor-rapper also recently announced another installment of the Friday movie series is in the works and he’s been busy with his BIG3 basketball league as well.
