Over the weekend, notable rappers such as Skeme, OG Maco, Jay Worthy and Cardo sent wishes of recovery to TDE and Rosecrans ENT affiliate G-Weed, who was rumored to have been shot multiple times while in Atlanta. He was reportedly hit once in the head, according to HipHop-N-More. So far, detailed information from law enforcement representatives is not available.

The muscular, bald individual has made several cameos in videos for everyone from Kendrick Lamar to Boogie.

Aside from his alleged connection to the infamous Piru Bloods gang, he’s made some serious gains within the music industry in marketing, A&R and management. He’s had a hand in the careers of Jay Worthy, Kendrick Lamar and Boogie, according to his Twitter profile. In a clip from social media, he was even seen with Young Thug throwing up gang signs.

In an exclusive statement sent to HipHopDX, Boogie spoke about his longtime mentor.

Man, I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for Weeder,” he said. “Weeder has so much to do with where I’m at and we still got so much more we gonna do together. He’s taught me how to balance my neighborhood and my career, he’s been a father figure at times and a big brother all the time and as far as Compton goes he symbolizes overcoming your situation for the better of the community. He symbolizes change and courage because not a lot of OGs really pass wisdom on to the youth, many just do it for the title. Weeder is the real definition of a big homie.”

Heading to Compton’s Campanella Park area, the heart of Piru territory, DX hung out with Zo, DJ Xclusive and Mari Ruger to talk G-Weed and Rosecrans ENT. Check out the video above for the full story.
