P. Diddy has responded to complaints from the Asian community and others and has cut a controversial lyric from his song Diddy, as well as from the recently-finished video.
The line “Got Asian women that’ll change my linen, after I done blazed and hit ’em,” has been catching heat from various groups who say it is offensive to Asians and to women. The song appears on the album P. Diddy and the Bad Boy Family: The Saga Continues, which was released in July, but the pressure was turned up when Hot 97’s Star and Asianavenue.com’s Jim Cho called attention to it.
P. Diddy, not wanting to upset any of his fans, has pulled the line, which will not appear on future pressings of the album or in the video.
