I’m not sure what the folks at MTV are thinking lately. First, they let Jamie Foxx host their video awards, then they offer categories for “Best Rap Video” and “Best Hip-hop Video” (I’d like to see how they made the distinction there!), and now MTV Europe nominated Outkast for both best hip-hop and best R & B. This is getting downright silly. Anyway, here are the nominees:
Best Hip-Hop Act:
Missy Elliot, Eminem, Outkast, P. Diddy and D12
Best R & B Act:
Outkast, Janet Jackson, Destiny’s Child, Wyclef, Craig David

Eminem was also nominated for best male performance and best song for Stan. Del’s group Gorillaz got six nominations, including best song for Clint Eastwood. The Awards take place November 8 in Frankfurt, Germany.
