The beef between 21 Savage and his Louisiana namesake 22 Savage has taken another twist this week as 22 has dropped a music video for his track “Black Opps.”

The audio had been doing the rounds on social media for the last week or so but now the video, directed by Twon Shot That, is here — and features a lot of mean-mugging and gun-waving from 22 Savage.

The title is obviously a play on 21 Savage’s song “Red Opps” — continuing 22’s streak of messing around with 21 Savage’s persona. Unsurprisingly the beats of the two tracks are almost identical, and the hooks share an uncanny resemblance between lyrics and rhyme schemes.

21 Savage hasn’t responded to the video on social media, though given his recent moves with Drake it’s entirely possible that the 24-year-old Atlanta rapper is simply too busy to pay any attention.

22 Savage has made it clear in the past that he’s not messing around when it comes to rap, referring to his 22 Savage persona as “real shit.” When it comes to comparisons between the two, 22 has said he thinks he’s “way better than 21 Savage.”
