Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf may have pissed off Soulja Boy with his freestyle on The Breakfast Club, but it seems as though he’s found an unlikely defender in the form of Chance The Rapper.

Chance cosigned the enigmatic actor on Twitter on Saturday (December 10), admitting that he would willingly fork over money if Shia ever did bring out a record.

“I would purchase a Shia LaBeouf album. And I can merch it would be a classic,” Chano writes.

Chance didn’t really explain what he liked about Shia’s raps, but now that he’s working on his first full-length album, maybe we’ll see a feature from LaBeouf on his next record.

Combining Chance’s support with Soulja Boy’s promises that he’ll lift the no-fly zone on Shia if he agrees to cast him in a movie, it’s been a pretty good week for the actor’s rap career.

The “Crank That” rapper had originally taken a very aggressive stance on LaBeouf, saying “You was a actor. You was in Transformers. You was inHoles. You was on the Disney Channel, you don’t have no business with my name in your mouth.”

Things are looking up.
