With a rumoured five mics coming from The Source, Jay Z should be on top of the world, but instead he, like many others around the globe, is thinking only of the victims of last week’s terrorist attacks on the U.S.
Jigga, the current kingpin of the hip-hop world, has delayed the start of his fall tour out of respect for what happened last week. His tour promoting his new album, The Blueprint, was supposed to have started last Friday, but instead will begin Wednesday, September 19 in Rhode Island. The Blueprint Lounge Tour will make up in October dates missed in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio last week.
“My heart, love and support go to the families of the victims and the missing,” Jay Z said.
In related news, the Backstreet Boys played their show in Toronto last Wednesday, the day after the awful attacks, even though their chief carpenter was killed on one of the hijacked planes.
