According to Afrika Bambaata, hip-hop began on November 12, 1974. While this claim is disputable, Bam has taken it upon himself to name this upcoming November as hip-hop history month in hounour of the founding date.

Bam hopes that the month will teach the younger generation about hip-hop’s principles of peace, love, unity and having fun.
