Brooklyn, N.Y. rapper Theophilus London saw the inside of a jail cell after getting into an argument with a taxi driver on Monday (August 8).
As the Kanye West-collaborator tells it, the taxi driver wouldn’t give him change for $100, the only bills he had on him at the time. He gave the cabbie a countdown before grabbing his cell phone and smashing it into “900 pieces” before running into the movie theater where he’d been heading to see the recent Sharon Jones documentary.
Police caught up with him there and brought him to a cell, where he proceeded to live tweet the experience, detailing his own expensive wardrobe and interactions with his cellmate.
