Los Angeles, CA

King Of The Dot has added some mystery to its upcoming “Battles At The Bunker” event in Los Angeles on June 25, with league favorite Dizaster taking on an unknown opponent in a one-round battle.

So far, there’s been plenty of speculation about, but very little evidence, of who he’ll be facing, but names like Serius Jones, O’fficial, C3, Danny Myers and Charron are all possibilities, according to BattleRaip.com‘s run-down of the likeliest contenders.

Diz’s opponent isn’t the only mysterious thing about the battle. Exactly how things will play out is still very much up in the air.  Will Dizaster bring less-specific content that could work against anyone, or flex his freestyle muscles to address his opponent directly? Will the opponent bring a fully-crafted round to attack Diz or keep things even by trying to match him on a freestyle level?

Fully freestyled battles were popular in the mid-2000s, with the World Rap Championships and Scribble Jam helping to pave the way for the thriving scene that exists now. Still, a top-tier freestyle clash would be an anomaly in the modern era of battle rap where almost everything is entirely pre-written, other than the occasional off-script moment when an MC rebuttals his opponent or references something spontaneously.

Dizaster has shone in both freestyle and written formats and is on a run of form in recent battles against Dumbfoundead, Gjonaj, and Iron Solomon in the last year.

Other battles that will be on the card include Reverse Live vs. J Dose, Big Kannon vs. The Deadman, Bonnie Godiva vs. PNut and more. See more info on the card and live pay-per-view on BattleRap.com.
