In a series of tweets today (February 15), Jay Electronica wrote to 50 Cent, “don’t make me expose you as a coward.”
The tweets from the New Orleans rapper coincided with the release of his “#TBE The Curse Of Mayweather” song, which is available on HipHopDX.
The cut includes a references a social media livestream Jay Electronica conducted earlier this month in which he dissed 50 Cent.
“I might be on Periscope gettin’ pissed,” Jay Electronica raps on “#TBE The Curse Of Mayweather.” “Talkin’ reckless, contemplatin’ all out war with Fif.”
In the Periscope session, Jay Electronica lodged several insults at 50 Cent.
“50 Cent at once, he was a good rapper,” the Louisiana rapper said at the time. “Right now he got the potential to be a rapper, but he’s on some sucker shit…and we will slap 50 Cent’s eyeballs loose out his scalp.”
50 Cent responded yesterday (February 14) to an Instagram comment about Jay Electronica.
“who is that? I don’t even know a song from him. LMAO,” 50 Cent wrote in response to Instagram user @senzashaka’s question.
Elsewhere on “#TBE The Curse Of Mayweather,” Jay Electronica disses Kendrick Lamar, who he also criticized during his Periscope commentary and who is up for 11 Grammy Awards today (February 15).
“Maaan, fuck these white people,” Jay Electronica raps. “My grandmother died at 82 scrubbing floors, and niggas still running around begging for awards.”
