Actress and singer Antonique Smith recently released her most recent project Love Is Everything.
Recently sitting down with HipHopDX News Editor Soren Baker, Smith described the EP and the meaning behind its title.
“Love is everything,” she said via a segment of today’s (December 8) DX Daily. “It’s the reason why I’m doing what I’m doing with the climate justice movement as far as it’s about love. It’s about the love of people, the love of humanity and the love of self. I want me and my family to be safe too and I want everybody else’s family to be safe.”
Antonique Smith also says why she believes it’s important for people to live in the now and not dwell on the past or future.

“We focus so much on the future and the past,” she explained. “We focus so much on what we don’t have and trying to get. Sometimes, even in a relationship, you’re trying to get that commitment, you’re trying to get that ring put on it instead of just enjoying the moment that you only have now. The future’s not promised. The past gone. It’s over and you can’t change it anyway.”
