KO The Legend is formerly part of the group The Wow associated with Balthazar Getty and had a falling out about who owned what of the music they recorded.

Recently sitting down with HipHopDX Editor-in-Chief Justin Hunte, the Cali native discussed the lawsuit he’s facing from the billionaire entrepreneur (of Getty Images fame).

“He’s trying to sue me,” he said when asked about Getty during an exclusive interview. “We had a little discussion, we had words and it came down to lawsuits and it’s like, first of all, you have no grounds to stand on. Second of all, that’s offensive. You know how the game is played, you know the rules.”

KO The Legend also explained further how the rift began between the two camps and says it “got ugly” after he didn’t want to give up the music he recorded.

“At the end of the day I started the accounts,” he explained. “I don’t give a fuck about the accounts. Social media is whatever. That’s not the point. But I said, ‘If this is something you want I just need confirmation in writing that you’re not going to release this music that you haven’t purchased or that you didn’t want to do paperwork for.’ Then it got ugly at that point.”
