Cold 187um was full of acclaim when asked about Jason Mitchell’s portrayal of Eric “Eazy-E” Wright in the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton.

“He was phenomenal to me,” Cold 187um says during a newly published interview with VladTV. “It was incredible. I mean his mannerisms—it was incredible, man. I couldn’t believe it.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Cold 187um, who is also known as Big Hutch, says that the right decision was made to cast Jason Mitchell instead of Eazy-E’s son, Lil Eazy-E.

“I think an actor had to play Eazy, honestly,” he says. “I love Eric, that’s my nephew, I love him, but I think an actor should have done that. I think because he’s such an important part piece to it. I think that part had to really be pulled off by [an actor].”

Cold 187um also passed comment on why he enjoyed the movie so much, as well as what parts he felt were less detailed.

“I loved the movie on the overall,” he says. “The only thing that I can say that was kind of crazy for me, and that’s just me living it, [is that] it jumped around a little bit for me as far as the times that were spoke about. And they had to put a lot of things into one perspective. It’ll take like five days to see a movie like how I’m talking about [laughs]. But, it was phenomenal to me. The upside of the movie is probably how they focused on the era more than them. They focused on the late ‘80s, early ‘90s.”
