Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” song was the backdrop for a public service announcement by Indian activist group Jhatkaa to call for Unilever to remove mercury poisoning in the town of Kodaikanal.

The nearly three-minute rendition of Minaj’s song was written and performed by Indian rapper and social activist Sofia Ashraf.

Unilever closed its thermometer factory in Kodaikanal 14 years ago, but the mercury contamination was never cleaned up. Jhatkaa has started a petition demanding that Unilever clean up the poisonous substance and compensate workers for medical care.
