Joe Budden says to Hot97 that he wanted to address the Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj’s performance at the BET Awards on his podcast.

“This is what happens on podcasts, you half-heartedly speak on things that might be a hot topic, right?” Budden says. “The camera guy just showed a lot of shots of Meek blissfully smiling in love. I thought that was interesting. I thought it was funny.”

I was talking about light-skinned men versus dark-skinned men. I didn’t think anybody with half a brain would take those comments seriously.”

Meek Mill took to Twitter to defend his relationship with Nicki Minaj and Budden responded.

The radio show hosts ask Budden if, a few days after the incident, he is on good terms with the Philadelphia rapper.
