As a member of French Montana’sCoke Boys label, the Chicago native did have a relationship with recently gunned down rapper Chinx. In a recent interview with HipHopDX’s senior features writer Ural Garrett, Durk talked about recent advice French gave him about dealing with death.

“He was just saying don’t keep your expectations high,” Durk said in a segment of today’s (May 27) DX Daily. “He said just be humble about it and continue to work.”

Back in March, Lil Durk’s manager Chino Dolla was killed. And while Durk has had to deal with a lot of death in his life growing up in the streets of Chicago, he explained he has to keep moving when situations are tough.
